Learn the Magic of Digital Photography today!
Many people offer photography classes and groups lessons, but few have the real skills to perform at 1 on 1 private custom teaching. Jared Brick has spent the last 7 years refining his photographic teaching style to fit any level of learner, on any camera make and fit in a ton of great info into each lessons. You will leave them feeling more confident, much more comfortable and with hard skills to practice. Consider him the human camera manual!
A typical introductory 2 hour lesson will cover the following principles of digital photography:
- Getting to know your camera and relevant gear as a tour of the features.
- Gain education about what you own, what equipment is available and why pay for it.
- Learn the finer details about ISO, white balance (WB), optimal color settings, using flash, mastering focus and overall exposure settings.
- Demystify Aperture (f/stops) to learn how it controls your light and depth in every photo.
- Learn about about motion and Shutter Speeds as you discover the rules around movement in photography.
- Cover the secrets and tips that Jared can share with you to get the most out of your camera!
Additional topics include: HD Video, advanced lighting techniques, professional portraiture, off-camera flashes, computer editing with Photoshop-Lightroom-iPhoto-Picasa, website and product photography, real estate work, fine art basics, and any other specialized photographic situations you may want to learn more about.
He will answer any and all questions you have regarding issues, confusion and other troubles getting great shots all the time. Jared will meet you in personal around the SF Bay area and beyond (for a small additional fee), working together on-location. The public meeting areas in San Francisco are at the SF Ferry Building and Union Square, typically at coffee shops. The East Bay meeting spots are in Berkeley and Oakland near to convenient Bart stations. If you need Jared to come to your home to learn more about important computer editing skills of photography… he gladly will!
SF Lessons
His standard rates are $60 per hour (a 2-hour minimum) at the above meeting points and negotiable beyond them.
